Ageing Artfully

During the pandemic in 2020, a project was created in partnership with Button Factory Arts, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery and Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care to engage seniors living both in long term care and in the community in an online artistic collaboration. Art kits featuring artwork created by residents of Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care during our weekly art therapy group prior to the pandemic were printed and circulated in art kits to seniors living in the community. Using the art pieces as inspiration, community participants created pieces inspired by or using elements of the artwork to be exhibited online by Button Factory Arts.
